6. Ecuador
This travel destination is not as cheap as Peru but it’s still cheap enough for you to enjoy an entire week’s worth of groceries for under $10. That’s the price of an average meal in the States! You can try a variety of food and not make a crack in your wallet. Are you a fan of surfing or been meaning to try? What better place to try than Ecuador which is home to gorgeous beaches. Not a fan? Not a problem. Ecuador has many natural wonders from their volcanos to their adjacent hot springs. As far as traveling within the country, their bus system is superb and domestic flights are cheap and plentiful. There also a high demand for house-sitting and volunteering which can make immersing yourself in the culture easier and overall make your trip that much cheaper.
