Besides being a social network, SoundCloud is also an audio distribution platform for artists and fans alike. SoundCloud allows users to stream music from established as well as emerging artists. While this is very similar to what the re-launched MySpace was supposed to be, SoundCloud has dominated over MySpace for one main reason: The streams on SoundCloud have individual URLs, therefor they have the ability to be shared and embedded.
